Step 1: Free Estimate
True Stone offers a free estimate for projects of any size. Just get a pen/pencil and paper and begin a simple drawing of the area where you would like stone. Using this rough drawing our estimator will be able to give you a price estimate for your job. We can also use blueprints or plans from your contractor if that is more convenient. Just get the documents together and email them to our estimator you can also fax the drawings to (415)822-8766. Once your estimate is complete we'll email or fax it back to you for your review.
- Measure the dimensions of cabinets, backslashes, and other areas where stone is to be applied
- Write down the name of the material you would like to use [See a list of our stone suppliers]
If you are unsure of the material you will be using, we can price your estimate based on mid-range $18-$20/sqft granite/marble
- Select your edge detail
- Type of sink (overmount or undermount)
- For kitchens describe type of stove (push-in or drop-in cooktop) or tub specifications (overmount or undermount) for bathrooms

Step 2: Template and Fabrication
If you choose to use True Stone, one of our templaters will come to your jobsite and make a custom template for your project area. At this time they will also consult with you on certain design choices such as overhangs, corner radius sizes, and edge options. After templates have been made and we have received your stone from our suppliers we will make an appointment for you to come to our shop and do a template layout. The purpose of a template layout is to allow you to customize what areas of the stone slab will be used for the different pieces of you project. We do this so that you can choose what organic details of the stone appear on different aspects of your project. This is just one more thing we do to help make sure you are happy with you stone work. Once everything has been approved your stone is cut based on your positioning of the templates on the slab. Take a look at our production process to see what happens to your stone from this point up to installation.

Step 3: Installation
Within two to three weeks after we make a template, we'll come back and install your stone. The only thing left to do is enjoy your new stone work!
